Friday and the House of shock

Yesterday : I got up at 630 and started writing and drinking coffee. My personal favorite thing to do. Next we saddles our bikes and biked to the Waffle house for breakfast.

The ride was a little rough as the sidewalks have had a hard life with years of abuse, lack of maintenance and flooding. Our beach cruisers, although slow, ate it up.

The waffle house was your run of the mill greasy spoon, but is a pulse of the the city during a disaster.

It was good. The coffee was weak, but the blueberry waffles Josh got were really good.

The serve you through the booth which is next to the working area, which was an interesting concept.

After that we rode home and decided to rent a motorcycle. So far, we have rode Uber, taxi, walked and now motorcycle. The motorcycle has been an incredible experience. BMW makes a great bike.

We got a ride from the Eaglerider

company came and picked us up. We were driven by a grizzled old guy who was drinking redbull and swore a lot. He was awesome. I can't describe it but he definitely had a relaxed "I don't give a fuck "attitude.

We rode around town, and .....where did we eat for dinner.......Ahhhh, yes. We went to the River Walk mall and ate a phenomenal burrito, but shopping was run of the mill;.

We came home, ate an apple and drank some water, and headed out to the house of shock.

Which was an experience all its own.

I have written a review twice for this haunted house, and they keep not working, so I will write one here.

This is an amazing experience. It isn't just a haunted house, its a full show. We arrived at 630pm, and waited in line to buy tickets till 7:30. We met an incredible couple from Tennessee and a group of three kids I will name "the wolf pack" from Mississippi.

AT 730 we got in and got our tickets. After we got our tickets, we discovered this was not just a haunted house. This was a full mini carnival. There was a long road, with hearses lined up and filled with creepy and exotic things to look at. There were zombies and creepy costumed people. There was a bucking spider ride. There was a stage with musicians playing awesome music, and a hospital themed bar called "the dirty syringe" with nurses making drinks. A food booth also was there with candied apples and all sorts of goodies. WE got straight into the line, which was separated from the rows of booths.

We waited for a while and I spied to the left of the "stage area" and entryway, a small group of staff who were getting smudged. I was intrigued. Probably because they were invoking the names of demons, and the energy of the group was really toeing the line.

In this area the haunted house was huge and tall, surrounding us all the way around and about 40 feet tall. There were scantily clad women selling shots in test tubes, and at 9pm fireworks went off and we saw a fantastic show that introduced us to the story of the haunted house .

I was like.....woah. This is intense.

We got into the haunted house at about 920 and it was super long. We saw a freak show, which was awesome. The darker it got the more freaked out I was. There was a corridor for the bearded lady( or man , I am not sure) huge twins threatening to eat me, crazy skinny girl with a high pitched voice. After the freak show, we were shoved 3D glasses and told to put them on. Then we tried to walk through a corridor with a spinning tube. As always, I about fell over, and the 3d affects  (effects?) did not help.

There was a huge creepy clown that had hands that reached out to grab you, and the whole experience was awesome.

Next were ghosts and an underground, dead version of 1900 New Orleans, with the skeleton of a horse pulling a carriage. ( My personal favorite)

and then we journeyed into "hell" with amazing huge animatronic dragons.

 This was an incredible experience.
